Mindset Monday

Hello Monday!  I’m a bit later than usual putting this together …. It’s grey and dismal outside, how does this make you feel?  How are you feeling in general today? Where are you on your journey?  Since my last mindset post, what have you done differently?

For a lot of people, the easy step is to focus on the negative (the old saying of the glass half empty springs to mind), the failures – why is this? Is it human nature that makes us immediately drawn to where we haven’t succeeded?  What if you focused instead on what you have achieved; look at what you did last week – the gains you made emotionally, physically and mentally.  Is that not something to be proud of?

Take a moment this Monday to write down three things you are amazing about; it doesn’t have to be fitness / nutrition related either.  It may be about  something you pushed yourself to do (out of your comfort zone) – walking into a crowded room (that’s a huge one of mine).  Reflect now about how it made you feel, before, during and after.  Hold that after feeling.  If you could bottle it, that’s exactly what I would want you to do.

How those three things made you feel, I want you to use to frame your Monday Mindset.

We have the power to move our mindsets; how we perceive things is so important for clarity.  Our health and wellness are not just about physical fitness and nutrition, it is so much more.
