It’s taken me a long time to get into the swing of things; actually it has taken me months but today I decided to stop being the obstacle in my own path. Yes, I got up (which I do every morning) but rather than start on chores around the house, I donned my trainers, PT kit and out the door I went.
For months I have dreamt about doing this but truth be told there were always barriers in the way. Barriers not set by anyone other than ME. Day in, day out, I came up with the words to prevent me from going out. From, “You have too much to do!” to “I don’t have the time!” to “I’m not a runner!”.
If you think about it, no-one is anything until you try and trying like anything takes time. It’s easy to give up on day 1 (those little voices appear in your head again saying you can’t do something) and many of us do – give up that is. When I worked in London, my Director at the time told me that sometimes you need to crawl, walk and then run. For much of life I think that is so true. When we go all guns blazing on day 1, the chances are you are going to reach burnout.
As my top says:

You are the one controlling what, when, how you do something. Whether it’s running, a lifestyle change in general or whatever it is in life, YOU are your starting point; it’s YOU!
Taking control and doing it can sometimes be very hard (I know, I’ve been there), hence I am now on hand to work with you. If you think that the time is right to start to make changes in your life, then I would love to work with you. Finding your happy, healthy, confident self is so important to me. Your initial 1:1 consultation is free and without obligation. Do get in touch and we can start your journey together.
Enjoy today and make it count!
